GORETEX Upper

Constructed from a synthetic, welded upper, the Salomon Predict Hike GORETEX Walking Boots keep water at bay so you can walk with confidence no matter the weather. The durable upper offers a wide range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORETEX membrane resides inside the boot; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it’s hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORETEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Finishing off the upper is a traditional lacing system with eyelets that allows you to fully adjust the fit to ensure that you stay feeling secure as you go.

The Energy Surge midsole has been teamed with an Ortholite insole, which upgrades the comfort and performance of the Predict Hike. This insole has been moulded to match the contours of your foot to provide superior cushioning as well as enhance breathability and durability.

Contagrip MA Outsole

The Salomon Predict Hike GORETEX features a Contagrip MA outsole, providing unique traction technology and allterrain grip. Contagrip MA is built for the widest variety of surfaces. It balances both the geometry and the rubber compound to deliver confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces and offers longterm durability. The outsole grabs the terrain, even when it’s wet or slippery, giving you more control, especially on descents. When you are running on wet and muddy ground, the boot’s deep chevron lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
